We Create a Secret World...

...a place only of beauty."  - Mameha, Memoirs of a Geisha

When contemplating the role of the Sugar Baby in this "Secret World," I tend to equate our status to that of the long-fabled and enigmatic Geisha.  At her best, I believe a Sugar Baby is (like geisha) an artist.

A sugar baby, for many successful men, is a status symbol - the fantasy girl.  Ideally, her combination of brains and beauty transform her from everyday girl to [for her chosen gentleman SD] a moving work of art.

"We are not courtesans, and we are not wives."  Therein lies our opportunity.  We have the unique chance to create a connection that could lead to a long-term relationship benefiting both parties while keeping our freedom.

My Sugar Daddy, My Danna

According to tradition, the most established and well-respected geisha were selected and visited by a danna,or patron.  This was always a wealthy, respectable gentleman who took an interest in the artist and supported her, often paying for her training and various living costs (sound familiar?).

Over time, the two became close companions, some even developing relationships spanning their lifetimes.  In these arrangements, sex was never used as compensation for the financial contributions made by the danna.  If there was physical intimacy, it was a natural result of the connection the two experienced.

Geisha for the Modern Era

The more engrossed in this world I become, the more aware I am of the variety of possibilities for arrangements, and the infinite niches that can be served by Sugar Babies that choose to view our role as that of the modern geisha.

When engaging a potential sugar daddy, the master SB brings to bear her full force as woman.  She is an accomplished conversationalist, a scholar, a lover of the arts and all things beautiful.  She cultivates the best of herself in order to hold sway with cultured, successful potentials.

Her art is the creation of a world and relationship where her SD is immersed in beauty.  Ours can be, if we choose to make it so, a "secret world" of pleasures for the mind, soul, and body.  Do you agree?

SBs,what have you found that you enjoy most about this lifestyle?
SDs, what do you think of the SB as the modern day geisha?
